With a real, silver and gold / gold-plated jewellery is like with a silk blouse or cashmere sweater - if you want to enjoy it as long as possible, you need to care for it.
It is natural that jewellery changes with a time. Custome "jewelry" just get destroyed by wearing and one needs to throw it away, but the real, properly cared for, can last for years. Silver is sensitive to chemical reactions characteristic of the metal - can respond, for example in contact with perfumes, so if you want to keep your jewellery in a good condition, just follow a few guidelines.
The basic advices are: after taking off, hide your jewellery in a box (jewellery lying on the air can oxidize, and thrown into a bag - get destroyed easily), do not take it to the bath, do not splatter perfume, and generally rather delicate handle of her (take off for work in the garden, etc.).
Silver and gold, not gold-plated jewellery can be gently washed at home with warm water and dishwashing liquid, if necessary, also wiping with a soft brush.
But even better let me do the cleaning - every piece of my collection you can give back to me once to renew it! I'll take care of it as you need, bathe in an ultrasonic cleaner, restore the original surface. Just write to me on this matter - kasia@kasiawojcik.com. :)
